Privacy policy

This policy explains what SalaryTakeHomePay collects when you use the site. Last updated: October 2026.

What we measure

We count page views and how the tools are used (for example, which calculator button was pressed and which options were chosen) so we can improve them. We do not store your IP address. Visits are grouped with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. We record your approximate country, region and city, device type, browser, screen size and language. Location is looked up from your IP address at the moment of the visit (through Cloudflare or the ipwho.is service) and only the place name is kept.

If you accept cookies, we also keep a random visitor code in your browser so we can tell new and returning visitors apart, and we load Google Analytics. Numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you reject non-essential cookies here, we ask Google to show non-personalised ads.

Your choices

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie choices” link in the footer. To ask about or delete data related to you, email hello@salarytakehomepay.com.

US state privacy rights

Showing personalised ads can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information under California and other US state laws. You can opt out at any time with “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the footer (choose “Reject non-essential”). We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser automatically. You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information we hold; email us to make a request.

Retention

Visit records are deleted automatically after about 13 months.
